Sub-processors

These are the third parties that process personal data when your team uses hosted Kythene at kythene.com. Under our data processing agreement we give at least 30 days' notice before adding or replacing one.

Where your workspace lives

Hosted Kythene is run by Tamperan Ltd from the United Kingdom. Your workspace content, its backups, and the embeddings behind semantic recall are stored and computed there. We don't send your content to any AI provider, and nothing you put into Kythene is used to train AI models. Your own AI agents work with your workspace as you set them up, and the services behind them are your suppliers.

Who else processes it

Sub-processor What for What it sees Where

Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES and SNS) Sending email - invitations, notifications and account messages - and handling bounces and complaints Recipient name and email address, and the email itself, which can include the title of a piece of work, its tags and the text of an alert United Kingdom (London, eu-west-2)
PostHog, Inc. Product analytics, as described in our privacy policy How the product is used. Session recordings show what was on screen, which can include workspace content; typed input is hidden. Kept for 30 days European Union (PostHog EU Cloud)

Not sub-processors

  • Stripe takes payment for subscriptions as merchant of record, so it acts for itself rather than for us, and it sees billing contact and payment details only, never workspace content. See our privacy policy.
  • Services you connect as toolkits are your own suppliers, chosen by your workspace's owner or an admin.
  • Sign-in providers (such as Google or GitHub) confirm who someone is when they sign in. Each person chooses theirs, under that provider's own terms, and it receives nothing from inside Kythene.
  • Self-hosted Kythene has no sub-processors of ours: it runs on your infrastructure and sends us nothing beyond an optional licence renewal check, which you can switch off.
